What is FenceX?
FenceX is a training and performance platform for fencers. It combines reaction training, performance tracking, and video analysis so you can practice with hardware, review results, and make targeted improvements in one place.
Who is FenceX for?
FenceX is built for clubs, coaches, and athletes who want structured practice and clear feedback. It works for beginners learning fundamentals and advanced fencers who need detailed performance data.
What weapons does FenceX support?
FenceX supports foil, epee, and saber. You can filter stats and training insights by weapon to keep feedback relevant to your discipline.
Where does the data come from?
Training data comes from your sessions in FenceX. If you are using stats features, data sources are listed in the app and are updated when new results are published.
Is FenceX free to use?
FenceX includes a free tier with core training and basic stats. Premium unlocks advanced analytics and deeper video tools. Pricing is shown on the account page.
How does the video analysis feature work?
Upload a bout video in Video Analysis and FenceX will tag moments, track scoring patterns, and highlight timing and distance trends. You can add notes and export insights for coaching.
Can I track my progress over time?
Yes. Your results, session history, and rating changes are tracked in My Stats. Use filters to compare time periods and spot trends in accuracy and reaction time.
How do I get started?
Start by creating an account and opening Reaction Trainer. If you have the hardware, connect it and run a short session. You can customize visible pages in Settings to keep the nav focused on what you use most.
How do I connect the hardware?
Go to Reaction Trainer and open Setup Hardware. Choose Web Serial for direct USB connections in Chrome or Edge, or Bridge Mode if you are using a local server. The status indicator will turn green when connected.
Which browsers are supported?
Web Serial requires Chromium browsers like Chrome or Edge on desktop. On iPhone, you can still use training features and settings, but direct USB connections are not available.
Why is my device not connecting?
Check your cable, confirm the board is powered, and try reconnecting. If Web Serial does not appear, use Chrome or Edge and allow the site permission when prompted.
Where can I change my profile and theme?
Open Settings from the gear icon in the top bar. Appearance controls the theme, and Account lets you update your profile picture and display name.
Can I hide pages from the navigation?
Yes. In Settings, go to Page Visibility and toggle the pages you want to show. This helps keep the nav focused on what you use most.
