Everything you need to know about FenceX

What is FenceX?

FenceX is an AI-powered fencing performance platform. Upload bout videos for coaching analysis, track your tournament history in a full hierarchy (Tournament → Event → Pool/DE → Bout), and sync your FencingTracker data to see strength ratings and season stats — all in one place.

Who is FenceX for?

FenceX is built for clubs, coaches, and athletes who want structured practice and clear feedback. It works for beginners learning fundamentals and advanced fencers who need detailed performance data.

What weapons does FenceX support?

FenceX supports foil, epee, and saber. You can filter stats and training insights by weapon to keep feedback relevant to your discipline.

Where does the data come from?

Performance data comes from your uploaded bout videos and AI analysis results. If you link your USFA number, FenceX also syncs your strength ratings and season stats from FencingTracker automatically.

Is FenceX free to use?

FenceX includes a free tier with core training and basic stats. Premium unlocks advanced analytics and deeper video tools. Pricing is shown on the account page.

How does the video analysis feature work?

In Video Analysis, organize your bouts into tournaments and events, then upload bout videos. FenceX uses AI to generate a coaching review that considers your athlete profile, FencingTracker strength, opponent data, and event documents. You can also chat with an AI coach about each bout.

Can I track my progress over time?

Yes. Your bout results, win/loss record, and AI analysis history are tracked in Video Analysis. If you link your USFA number, FenceX syncs your FencingTracker strength rating trends and season statistics on the home screen dashboard.

How do I get started?

Start by creating an account, then head to Video Analysis. Create a tournament, add an event, and upload your first bout video. FenceX will generate an AI coaching review. For even richer analysis, add your USFA number in Settings to sync your FencingTracker data.

How do I connect the hardware?

The Reaction Trainer uses hardware for millisecond-precision drills. Go to Reaction Trainer and open Setup Hardware. Choose Web Serial for direct USB connections in Chrome or Edge, or Bridge Mode if you are using a local server. The status indicator turns green when connected. Note: The Reaction Trainer requires a passcode to access.

Which browsers are supported?

Web Serial requires Chromium browsers like Chrome or Edge on desktop. On iPhone, you can still use training features and settings, but direct USB connections are not available.

Why is my device not connecting?

Check your cable, confirm the board is powered, and try reconnecting. If Web Serial does not appear, use Chrome or Edge and allow the site permission when prompted.

Where can I change my profile and theme?

Open Settings from the gear icon in the top bar. The Appearance tab controls light/dark theme, and the Account tab lets you update your fencing profile, weapon, club, USFA number, and rating.
